Easter 2010

Hi yall,

Matt here. I thought I might try to blog this beautiful, warm Easter afternoon. This morning before church I told Avery that Jesus was alive today and that he loves us. We were going to church to celebrate Jesus being alive. I can't wait to tell her the depth of what Easter really means and for her to understand it and commit to following Jesus! But before we headed out, we took some Easter dress pictures. I loved taking her pics and believe it or not, I dressed her. I love getting her dressed up like this, but I need alot more practice on fixing her hair ( ponytail and such). Needless to say I was glad for the hat today. So without further ado...here are a few pics!

Not sure why she is sticking out her tongue. Maybe she's imitating her daddy. (I do that when I'm concentrating) Maybe she's concentrating on being so cute...

WE ARE HERE BUT NOT REALLY HAVING SO MUCH FUN

Baby girl has been sick since Sunday and she still sick today.. But in the midst of sickness she has a few good moments. Bless her little bones, fever and coughing has been her existence for 4 days, along with lots and lots of snuggle time with mommy..(which I love). Prior to the sickness, last Friday before MDO, we dropped her off at Heather's/Georgia to hang out before MDO. Heather was kind enough to offer to keep her so that my Mom didn't drive out to the house to take her to MDO. Sweet friend! ANyways, please look at this cute pic of SA and her little buddy Georgia as they were getting out of the bath. They are some serious cuteness!

MOM

Calling all my prayer warrior friends and family! Please be praying for my Mom. She begins her weekly chemo regimin today. She is looking at a minimum of 6 months in this study. To give you an update, she was approved for a national research study that will provide her with the most up to date meds fighting Renal Carcinoma, as well as have weekly appointments with the team and the Oncologist. They are all very optimistic for this treatment to be successful and we are praying accordingly. With that said, the first "arm" of the study that chosen for her treatment is a combination of Intravaeous and pill chemo..

She will have her intravaeous chemo every other Thursday but will take the pill 5 DAYS a week.. On the Thursday that she is off IV, they will do scans and evaluations, continually checking progress. We are not sure how mom will react to the meds, however the oncologist says there are minimal side effects. Fatigue is the biggest complaint..

Thank you fo praying. Please pray for Mom to have the physical strength to stand strong during the next 6 months and for her body to respond to the medicine in a successful way. Thank you.

IS how I found my little one this morning when I opened up her door. I heard her talking from the monitor, so I looked to see if she was sitting up and it looked like she had her hat on, so I immediately went and got the camera.. She cracks me up!

So, my mom had her biopsy today of her pelvis. They deadened the area and went in with a long needle to extract from the bone. We are praying for a miracle. She is doing fine, she is taking some pain medicine and should be fairly sore for a couple of days. She meets with the oncologist on Feb 11th, so please of please be praying for all of us.
