Our first Moment!

These few moments here are seriously the most amazing time in our life. The fact that the Lord knit this precious child in my womb, even with all my sin, sets my eyes and heart on Him all the more! This is truly the picture of unconditional love.

When Avery was lifted up over the drape and I saw her face and her head, I immediately lost it. "There is my daughter" They put her on my chest and all I could do is gasp for breath because my heart was out of my chest and I was just bawling. I kissed her and I thanked the sweet Lord for our child. They took her to the other side of the O.R for all of her tests and for Daddy to show off to through the window. Look at Matt's face, he was crying and of course, I don't think he has ever looked as handsome, nor have I ever loved him more! We are both in an amazing journey and look forward to see what God will do through us with our baby girl!

It was a surreal day...even leaving to go to the hospital, I was nervous and excited to see what Avery looked like and I couldn't wait to hold her in my arms. When we got to the hospital the process went into overdrive and as we got into the prep room, it hit DeDe and I that soon we would have a daughter. Matt

Well, sorry it's been so long since we last blogged, but our lives have been altered forever in the best way ever! On January 31st, we experienced the birth of our daughter Sarah Avery! It has been truly an awe-inspiring event. I have never prayed and thanked God as much as I have in the past two weeks. He is so amazing to use us in creating a precious, beautiful life.

SNOW?

They say there might some snow tomorrow. I just don't really trust weather people who have no experience predicting snow. It is one of the hardest weather elements to judge correctly.

I would love to see some snow tomorrow. Let's do some snow angels and have some snow ball fights.. Wahhoooo.. Here are a few pics of me and Matt in our first experiences with snow together. Enjoy

we're back

We have decided to blog again. I figure that I always have something to say and the new addition to our family motivates me all the more. It will take me a few days to get acclimated to blogging again, so please be patient.
