She is always trying to figure out what is going on
This is her afterwards, what a sweet little time with her. Her face is swollen here.
Thank you everyone who has prayed for SA's surgery today and for her well being. We arrived at Children's South at 6am and to our surprise were MANY other little babies waiting for their name to be called. Thankfully, they put us in to a room rather quickly. We went over medical history and forms and such and then before we knew it, they were taking her back. Both Matt and I were doing ok until we had to give her to the nurse and WHEW was that hard. Pretty soon after Dr. Hill came into our room and told us that she did great and he ended up removing her Adenoids since they were enlarged. I had mentioned to the nurse prior to the surgery that she snored and also had a runny nose... So, they evidently needed to come out. So, he left after telling us a few care instructions.. Then what seemed like an hour went by and finally they brought us our little sweet angel.. She was VERY UPSET and had this look on her face that we had never seen and I thought I was going to lose it right then, but she was crying so hard that I just tried to hold it together and just comforted her.. She refused juice, took some formula and fell asleep on my shoulder. She slept on the way home and all the way until Noon. Woke up with a smile and wanted to eat. Then wanted to play.. That is our girl! She is back with a little tiredness, but back. We will just continue to hope and pray that the surgery will take care of all of the concerns we have had since October. She is still a little swollen but hasn't made any complaints. She is such a champ.
Here are a few pics of her this morning
